January 20, 2009: The City of Delray Beach is accepting applications for the spring session of the very popular and widely recognized Residents Academy which familiarizes the public with City government, its functions and responsibilities. The Academy begins on March 5th and will meet on Thursday evenings for six (6) weeks from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the City’s Environmental Services Administration Building, located at 434 South Swinton Avenue.
All City residents, 18 years of age and older, are eligible to attend this program at no charge. The Academy only asks for a commitment to complete the scheduled sessions.
By the end of the semester, graduates will have an increased understanding of the operations and services that are provided by all City departments and impact our quality of life.
